Over the years, Bodegas Balmoral’s wines have been recognized by some of the most prestigious national and international critics and competitions in the wine world. A track record of awards and ratings that attests to the quality and consistency of our Edoné and Maravides collections.
Among our most recent accolades , Edoné Brut Nature stands out , having been awarded 95 points and a Grand Gold medal at the Onvinum Wine Awards by Pedro Ballesteros MW, one of Spain’s most internationally recognized Masters of Wine. Edoné Gran Cuvée received 91 points from Tim Atkin MW, while James Suckling awarded 90 points to Edoné Cuvée de María and 91 points to Maravides 12 Meses.
In addition to these accolades, our wines have a long history of winning medals and receiving high scores at competitions and in publications such as the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Decanter, the Berliner Wine Trophy, the China Wine & Spirits Awards, Vinalies Internationales, Guía Gourmets, Wine Up, and AkataVino.
Edoné Gran Cuvée, Edoné Rosé Gran Cuvée, Edoné Cuvée de María, Maravides 12 Meses, Maravides Mediterráneo, Maravides Syrah, and Maravides Chardonnay have been recognized across various vintages, cementing Viñedos Balmoral’s position among Spanish wineries with award-winning and internationally recognized wines.
Beyond individual medals or scores, these accolades reflect our ongoing work in the vineyard and in the winery, as well as our commitment to crafting wines with a distinct identity—wines capable of expressing the uniqueness of an estate located at an altitude of more than 1,000 meters.

Various awards for the Viñedos Balmoral collections
The Edoné collection from Viñedos Balmoral has won awards at various national and international wine competitions and events. One such example is the Gold Bacchus Medal at the international wine competition organized by the Spanish Union of Wine Tasters for Edoné Cuvée de María, which was recognized for its nuances, flavor, and good structure.
Likewise, Edoné Rosé Gran Cuvée, Edone Gran Cuvée, and Maravides Chardonnay were awarded various gold medals at the China Wine and Spirit Awards.
Maravides, for its part, was awarded a 90-point medal at the 38th edition of the International Wine and Spirit Competition. Specifically, the Maravides Mediterráneo red wine earned this honor thanks to its intensely aromatic bouquet, as well as its hints of ripe fruit and cocoa and notes of coffee and lavender.
